GOOOOOOOOOOOD MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMOOOOOOOOOORRNNIIIIIINNNGGGGGGG Alaska !!
10am this morning, 19 degrees little to NO wind … and a quick up[date on what happened this weekend (besides to much Turkey … Susie really cooked a Tender and very Moist turkey, was is still is YUMMY).
We received a total Snow fall of 10” with a little more North and West … from what I’m told the Peters and Dutch may have gotten a little more than 15”-16” ... Not a lot yet, but it’s surprisingly ride-able. I had to assist in retrieving a sled Saturday afternoon and I actually had a good time … out in the big swamps riding the Powder (not in someone else’s tracks ) it was softer than I imagined and I hit higher speeds that I’m going to admit to right now … let’s just leave it at there was enough snow to play for anyone with an imagination !! J
So the Better News is that NOAA just contacted us and reported a snow storm bringing 4-8” today and another 4-8” tomorrow and possible snow everyday thru Thursday J and there website suggests that the “Duchess” will get upwards of 30” … so riding Thursday and this weekend should meet the requirements of most of you and were expecting our 1st BIG weekend of the Season.
We do have availability still: 733.4283 www.gatecreekcabins.com for more info on the cabins, pictures, cabins descriptions … and our pet policy if anyone thinks they need to bring their dog ( 1 dog limit per cabin, NO EXCEPTIONS). We are the only place that takes dogs out here by the way J
Kenny Creek Lodge 733.1310 and Trapper Creek Inn 733.2300 also have avails this weekend
Snow Hotline 733.1393 Option # 1 is being updated daily and I’m adding people to the snow report every day … so they can be added by sending an e-mail to gatecreek@ worldnet.att.net all I need is name, contact # and e-mail address … Thank you … this is a FREE Service …at least this week
OK it’s time to Play so Let It SNOW !!! Keep the Rubber Side DOWN!!
