Good morning, Long time no speak ... Good news we have been extremely busy and quite honestly there hasn't been a lot of time to report to few if any changes. Had a Great week once again with the fine management Team of the Odom Corporation and Associated Vendors ... Thanks to them again! What an Awesome group of People they have put together to represent the company and the Products they market "Good Energy"!!! Thanks Mike, Jen and all the troops :) Please see Randy Crosby's grooming report below ... The Temps here have been in the 20's at night and mid 30's and a little higher during the days ... and have had some, but minimal meltage! The trail system is in incredible shape and barring a real spike in temps should "hold" for some time. The Multiple Views the System creates is worth a "Making a Journal" ... the last few days I've taken different groups on the North Loop, the Deep Creek Trail and the Kahiltna River (not on the system yet) and have seen magnificent vista's of Mt. McKinley and the entire Alaska Range from the East, South and West; each view is absolutely Awe Inspiring by itself ... and to have that opportunity has been incredibly rewarding. Quite honestly I should have had a camera and made a Journal ... 10 out of the last 12 days have been "Blue Bird" ... and the system has opened up "HUGE" opportunities for even the newest of riders to enjoy "ALL" of it. We are truly Reaping the Benefits of this Trail System that the Curry Ridge Riders and the Anchorage Snow Clubs have worked so hard to Create ... and there's still plenty of Season Left to see it all! Please ask me how you can contribute to Funding and the ongoing development of what has become Alaska's Finest and best Maintained Trail System!! Access to these groomed trails: On the Parks Highway: MP 105 (Just north of the Big Su Bridge), MP 114 (at Trapper Creek Inn 733.2302), MP 121 (just off road Parking Lot, nice and big), MP 127, and MP 131 (decent sized parking). Off Petersville Road (moving West of the Parks at MP 114) at MP 12 (the Safari Lake Trail Head) and the Kroto Creek Parking Lot (big enough for 200- 300 vehicles). There are more places to access the trails ... but these are the Biggest and easiest access. Next year we hope to have New and Improved maps ... hopefully showing the difference between "Approved" Borough Trails and "Approved and Groomed" Borough Trails ... Again, please see Randy's most current report ... attached below ... Thanks again for a Great Season ... FYI we do have availability Starting this Sunday Night the 28th and at present 3 cabins available next Friday and Saturday Nights the Denali, the Moose and the Grizzly: www.gatecreekcabins.com 907.733.4283 or 733.1394 Thanks again to All! Tuesday the Safari lake Trail, Kroto Link(Triangle), North half of the P-ville Road, Deep Creek Loop, Tokositna, North Loop and the North part of the CBT were groomed. Moderate winds have been blowing and temps have stayed below freezing. Wednesday the CBT from 129-121.5, E/W Express and the South half of the P-ville Road from the E/W to the Kroto Parking Lot were groomed. All these trails are in great shape and show very little sign of melting. The snow bridges remain in good shape with the Rail Road Creek still a one lane. Off trail the snow is flat and firm but not rock hard. The weather has been mostly sunny with winds out of the north and daytime temps at or below freezing. There is still plenty of riding left in the season so don't let the melting conditions in town fool you. Have a great weekend. Randy Crosby
