The Grizzly Den is designed
exactly like the Moose Nugget
only the knick-knacks feature
Bears rather than Moose. The
Grizzly Den gives you a glimpse
of Mt. McKinley and is centrally
located for family activities.
Perfect for a small to medium
size family, yet could
comfortably sleep 6 adults +.
Built in 2001 the Grizzly Den is
a cedar sided custom built
cabin, with Log Accents;
approximately 1000 sq ft with a
large Great room, highlighted by
open cathedral ceilings. Each
cabin is completely furnished
with linens, bedding, pots,
pans, dishes, coffee pot,
toaster, refrigerator & oven
(all you need to bring is food
and your choice of beverages).
With a queen size bed in the
“Master Bedroom” the Grizzly Den
also features 2 inner spring
futons-sofas in the Great Room
that also double as beds. A
small over head loft is a great
place for the kids to hang-out
and play (or sleep too if need
be). In addition, the Grizzly
Den is one of 3 cabins equipped
with a bath/shower combination.
An Arctic entry (dry room)
completes the indoor amenities
(perfect for hanging fishing or
snow-machining gear too dry). A
cedar deck with charcoal grill
over looks a small lawn designed
for family activities (Croquet,
horse shoes and volleyball).
Each Spring
Moose give birth to babies;
close by. The Grizzly Den is a
short leisurely stroll from
fishing in our stocked rainbow
pond, we make canoes and paddle
boats available to our guest …
keep an open eye for Beaver,
Ducks, River Otters, Loons and
Trumpeter Swans.
The Grizzly Den is Smoke Free
and Pet Free! Thank you!
Gate Creek Cabins features
a "Stocked Trout Pond" and we
have a number of local streams
that offer excellent fishing for
Trout, Grayling and Salmon.
